My background
Over 20 years ago, I started my career working for a fashion supplier, sourcing shoes for high street retailers. I was fortunate to travel frequently to the factories in Spain, India and Sri Lanka. It was quite the adventure, and I met some lovely people, but I saw shocking things and got my first taste of how unsustainable and unequal manufacturing supply chains can be.
I subsequently set up my own handbag business, determined to do things differently. I worked with tiny, fairtrade certified suppliers and learnt all I could about digital marketing, blogging and SEO. Before long, I was getting far more requests to write for other brands than I was for product sales!
Since then, I’ve written for some fantastic brand and ad agencies, as well as numerous independent clients in all kinds of sectors. I love the challenge of thinking strategically about audiences and customers and the things they need or want, then using words and emotion to speak to them.
In 2024 my business became B Corp certified and recently I’ve begun to work more closely with creative organisations as a project manager, communications consultant and strategist.
What I enjoy most about my work
I’ve spent years studying the art of copywriting and honing my ability to move people with words. I’m fascinated by it but the thing I most enjoy about my work is the relationships I’ve been able to build with others.
I feel fortunate to have met some truly visionary founders and entrepreneurs. I’m so grateful that writing has given me the opportunity to live life on my own terms, learning so many new things and taking care of my family at the same time.
My hope for the future
I would love to see people, organisations and communities less invested in chasing endless profit and self-promotion at any cost and more invested in one another.
People are capable of incredible kindness and inspirational, selfless leadership. I believe this has a profound impact and creates a powerful, positive ripple effect.

It’s an incredible team. I have rarely worked with a group of people who are so good at what they do, so prepared to stand up for what they believe and yet so supportive, generous and genuine. Working with AG gives me flexibility, the opportunity to learn and to try new things.
How does working with AG Impact support you
As a solo business owner for the last 8 years, I’m used to doing everything myself. It’s a wonderful job but it can also be exhausting. Knowing that I can rely on others who are willing to share knowledge and expertise as we champion one another to do, and be, better, is a huge blessing.
