My background
I have worked in Communications roles for nearly 20 years in both the public and private sectors and have a lot of experience of working with global organisations to deliver transformational change. I support leaders and teams who are undergoing significant change, with strategic communications and change management planning and tactical campaign delivery.
Using recognised change management methodology, including ADKAR principles, I work to enable user adoption by empowering colleagues to be a part of the changes taking place, to share their feedback and concerns and help to resolve resistance and issues with the right tools, training and support. I enjoy creating high quality, engaging communications materials and ensuring they are maximised to underpin business transformations.
I’ve been a consultant at AG Impact for nearly five years and prior to that I led communications for a variety of change programmes at Barclays, Unilever and the NHS.
What I enjoy most about my work
I really enjoy the variety of what I do. Every project is different and you are regularly immersed in a whole range of different business challenges. Plus, I like to partner with different AG Impact team members to collaborate towards a shared goal so no one day or project is ever the same!
I thrive on working to a challenging change and communications brief, for example, having a complex project implementation plan to deliver, disparate audience groups to align to a common vision, or needing to communicate with users about a complex technology product in a meaningful way. This is where harnessing change and communications skills can really make a positive impact in enabling audience engagement, adoption and project success.
Companies I’ve worked with
AstraZeneca, Unilever, Barclays, NHS, ISS
My hope for the future
I hope to keep working to support more businesses and projects that need to really engage colleagues and support them as they undertake internal transformation programmes. By providing effective change and communications plans and materials, colleagues can feel informed and reassured about the changes taking place in their organisation, their role within it and how they can access help.
I’d also like to draw on my Leadership for Good training and explore opportunities to work as an Impact Consultant. It’d be great to work with a business that is looking at how it can make its operation more sustainable, achieving a balance between a people and planet focus that doesn’t mean a lack of profit.
